Thanks Erin,

this is a wonderful piece.

My very brief summary would be:

"Either we destroy capitalism/growthism - and fast - or it will destroy us."

With cancerous growth there simply is no time to lose and half-hearted responses will always lead to a very painful premature death.

On the other hand, what is not to like about:

"A live that is more about simply being and connecting with each other, about living in tune with the natural world" - rather than -

"Materialism, rat race, binge consumption, inequality, war on nature..."

I'd choose the former any time over the latter.

It’s a no brainer from me too. I prefer life every time 🤷🏻‍♀️

It's pretty much a life or death decision where not making a decision is voting for death.

It's funny how hard it is to convince that this is the way. Degrowth is common sense and shared humanity. Thank you Erin for explaining it so accurately.

Yeah, I’ve come across my fair share of naysayers. Often “moderates” who prefer to keep the peace & don’t like to challenge the status quo (recall what MLK said about white moderates?). But for me, the maths is pretty straightforward and I feel morally compelled to speak about this as loudly as I can. Thank you for your support Irene.
